Why doesn’t my printed label look good?

THE PROBLEM:
Textile marking is the foundation for successful and economic laundry logistics. The readability of long-lasting labels is accordingly relevant, as the label must not only be easy to read after printing, but also after several wash cycles.

An automated production process and correct allocation depend on a long-lasting and readable label.
Example: When the label is no longer legible, then the barcode cannot be read. This prevents the textile from being correctly allocated and results in the end customer not getting their textile. This not only causes dissatisfied customers, but also extra expense and additional costs for your own business.

THE SOLUTION:
The perfect combinations! Select a type of printer which meets your requirements (e.g. for large quantities, for die-cut labels,...). Then adjust the printer type exactly to the label material and the ink ribbon, as not every printer can handle any label material. The same applies to the label material and the ink ribbon. Not every ink ribbon leaves a good print on the label material.

Once these 3 properties are perfectly combined, the following 3 values must be set: Printing speed, contact pressure, printing temperature. The printing speed sets the rate at which the label material is passed through the printing unit by the print roll. The printing result is affected when the speed is too fast, the print roll is worn or the printing head is not hot enough.

Therefore, each of these points is of elementary importance for producing a long-lasting label. If one of these values is not set correctly, then frayed, unclear labels may be produced, which do not withstand the washing process.
