Our own forest

Besides the plastic problem or CO2 emissions, the subject of forest fires is on everyone's lips. Because worldwide flames devour the forests of the earth. We want to help the lungs of our world by building a forest of 100 trees in Madagascar in cooperation with Treedom.

Each tree has its own online site, is geolocated, regularly photographed and lovingly maintained. In the so-called tree diary the tree can be accompanied from the nursery to the planting and beyond.

This is what it looked like when our "Tephrosia" was in the nursery:

Our forest naturally needs diligent helpers to look after it. This is done by local smallholders who, in return, benefit from every single tree. The fruits, seeds and leaves serve the families of the small farmers as food or for sale at local markets. Our tree "Acacia Mangium" with its leaves, roots and bark can also be used in traditional medicine.

Why did we choose Madagascar?

Originally, Madagascar was 90 percent forested. Today, only about ten percent of the 53 million hectares of forest remain. Around 120,000 hectares of forest are cleared every year. If the destruction continues at this rate, Madagascar will be forest-free in 40 years! But not with our THERMOTEX forest!

Each of these trees can be viewed online. Feel free to stop by!
