FOR THE LOVE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
In cooperation with Treedom, a THERMOTEX wood of 100 acacia trees is being planted in Madagascar. Each tree has its own online page, is geo-localised, regularly photographed and lovingly maintained by local smallholder farmers.

The THERMOTEX wood is growing in Madagascar
Did you know that 90% of Madagascar's forests have been cleared? In 40 years, the island could be forest-free. But with our THERMOTEX forest, at least 100 acacias make a stand against a forest-free Madagascar!
Information about the acacia: Acacia Mangium
- PLACE OF RESIDENCE:
Ambositra - madagascar
All-rounder: Its multiple uses make it an immensely valuable tree!
200 kg of CO2 will be absorbed by planting this tree, the equivalent of the average amount produced by one person in 15 days.
How the acacia wood supports local smallholder farmers:
It helps restocking various animal species, thus helping the variety of fauna and flora overall.
It improves the quality of the soil thanks to the nitrogen fixation process or it reduces soil erosion, thanks to its extended root system.
- CONSUMPTION & SALES:
Its fruits, seeds and/or leaves are used as food in the farmers' families or are sold on local markets.
Its leaves, roots, bark and/or fruits are used in traditional medicine.
